Once you go through security you reach the Malaga airport departures lounge which has a large main restaurant upstairs and several small snack-bars downstairs. Also upstairs are numerous shops including news stands, cosmetics and perfumes, leather goods, duty-free products, sportswear, fashion clothing, gifts and music.
There are numerous seating areas and several play areas for children with small slides and other play items. The airport also has VIP lounges for some airlines.
Security control
There is a main security control before getting to the boarding gates; there you will have to show your boarding pass and x-ray your hand-luggage. Take in consideration that in high season the queue for passing this security control at the airport might be high, so we recommend to be at the airport at least 2 hours before the flight departure.
There is a second control for some flights to non-EU countries; there you will find a small duty-free shop and a snack bar. Once you’re through passport control in area B, you cannot return to the main shopping and restaurant area from the Terminal 3.
Flights departures to UK are usually located in the Terminal 3, check your boarding pass or ask your airline at the counter for further information regarding your flight.
