How to check-in at Malaga airport
The check-in process is necessary to indicate to the airline that you are ready to take your outbound or return flight. It is a process that you can do both online and at the airport when you check-in your luggage, if necessary.
We recommend checking the flight status in advance, in case there have been any last minute changes. Once at the airport, you can check again on the multiple monitors that display real-time arrival and departure information. These monitors will also indicate the boarding gate and check-in desk assigned to your airline.
Once you have checked in your baggage or checked in, you will see the boarding gate on your boarding pass. With your boarding pass, you can pass through security and proceed to your boarding gate.
Online check-in at Malaga airport
You can check-in online from your airline’s website up to 48 hours in advance and up to 2 hours before the flight takes place. In addition to confirming your attendance on the flight, you will be able to choose your seat on the plane and pay for excess baggage.
You can also check in online to choose your seat and then check in your baggage at the airport; in many cases, paying for excess baggage in advance is cheaper than doing so at the airport check-in counter.
When and how to check-in
To check in, you must log in to your airline’s website within 48 and 2 hours before the flight and follow the instructions. After the check-in process, you will be able to print your boarding pass, which contains all the information you need to board your flight. If you do not need to check baggage, this paper is all you need to go through security and board the plane.
Sometimes the boarding gate will not be available until the flight departure gets closer.
If you do not have a printer, some airlines allow you to receive this information on your mobile phone.
