Malaga's Pablo Picasso Airport (IATA: AGP, ICAO: LEMG) is the main entry point for visitors and residents on the Costa del Sol.

The airport is located only 8 km to the west of Malaga city, and is Spain’s fourth busiest. It handles an annual average of more than 10 million passengers, the vast majority from the European Union (EU) with London Gatwick and Heathrow, Manchester and Luton airports at the head.

This figure is expected to rise to 20 million the next years, when a new terminal will be finished. The Spanish government has also prioritized construction of a second runway, which is projected to be finished by 2010.

The main airport terminal for arrivals and departures was built in the early 90’s and is large and spacious.
