airport transit

Malaga airport is well connected both by road and train; you can choose the best means of transport to suit your needs. Depending on how much luggage you are bringing, how many people you are travelling with or where your accommodation is located, you may want to use one means of transport or the other; we’ll help you decide.

Trains

There is a train station at the airport that can take you to Malaga or to Fuengirola. If your accommodation is close to a train stop or station, this may be an option to consider. However, you should take into consideration the date of your arrival; in high season or during certain events the train tends to be full.

Otherwise the airport trains are a comfortable transport means; however today is not as cheap as it used to be.

Buses

If you want to use public transport and the train doesn’t get you where you need to go, the bus may be the best option. There are buses from the airport to many destinations; there is also a link to Malaga bus station, which will take you to any destination in the province.

If you want to take a bus, we recommend that you check the timetable, especially if you are going to a white village or to another province.
