April has seen an increase in the number of people opting for medium-haul holidays or beach holidays, in order to take full advantage of a long Easter holiday because of the wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to a study of the search engine Skyscanner, the most popular destinations for Britons this Easter are Malaga, Tenerife and Alicante.
Skyscanner chief executive, Gareth Williams, says that “the fact that London did not even appear this year among the top ten destinations certainly suggests that many Britons are trying to escape the buzz created around the royal wedding.”
Tourists visiting the Costa del Sol can enjoy an almost summery weather at this time of year.
