The Costa del Sol offers wonderful opportunities for boating, which is a popular pastime. The possibilities range from luxury power boats or yachts to modest dinghies. If you don't own a boat you can hire one from most marinas by the hour, day or week. If you own a boat it must be moored at one of the coast's many marinas. Fishing trips are also available from most fishing ports and marinas.

Sotogrande Port
One of the most attractive in the area and has 548 berths.
Puerto Marina
The Costa del Sol's largest marina and has mooring for some 960 boats, including private mooring for owners of apartments on the artificial islands.
The port is in the central part of town and has mooring for 225 boats.
As well as the huge port where some of the world's largest cruise ships dock, Malaga also has two small marinas.
Club Mediterraneo
Has 40 berths.
Puerto Deportivo El Candado (8 east of the city) This is the base for the sailing club.
Caleta de Vélez has 238 moorings.
