The second runway at Malaga Airport – Costa del Sol enters service in the first quarter of 2012.
This area consists of the new runway, with a length of 2,750 meters plus additional 340 meters, thus allowing to be used by next-generation aircrafts with more capacity and weight.
This second runway should now get a certificate to verify the proper functioning of all systems for future implementation. Through this runway can be doubled the airport’s capacity to about 70 airplanes per hour.
